Trivia or News? Media Gone Wild Over Vick & Potter
Whew, I’m exhausted. Between last week’s wall-to-wall coverage on ESPN of Michael Vick’s arrest on illegal dog fighting and the exhaustive coverage of people waiting on line to get the latest Harry Potter book – “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows”, you really get the sense we truly are in the dog days of summer. Ok, sorry, bad pun. Just a couple weeks ago, there were similar images of people waiting in lines for that new phone, oh yeah, the iPhone. Is this desire to wait overnight or for days in line telling us about human character or lack of creativity from the media?
